Bird House Shopping Guide

When looking to buy a bird house, check out these buying tips:

1.  Most bird houses are easy to open for cleaning.  Bird house cleaning should be done at least once a year.  Be sure to check out our selection of bird cleaners before checking out.

2.  Look for holes or slits at the top or side of the bird house.  This will let the hot air out when summer time arrives.

3.  The two most popular bird species for bird houses are purple martin birds and bluebirds.  We have separated those two bird houses as the hole size for each bird house is a bit different.  This insures other bigger bird species will not take over the bird house.

4.  The bottom of the bird house should have holes or the corners cut off.  This lets water drain out of the bird house.

5.  The average bird house will last seven to ten years.
